Project Management Control
Once we have a sound game plan in place, Canway will rely on our project management structure and skilled moving specialists to execute your commercial move to perfection. At Canway, we adhere to a strict protocol for managing our commercial relocation projects. Our project management approach is as follows:
- A lead project manager will be assigned to oversee the entire relocation
- Project manager will be responsible for making various site visits to each location and will determine the best crews and equipment to accomplish the move
- Set up 'pre' and 'post' move meetings to eliminate any problems that could occur during or after each phase of your relocation
- The lead project manager will assign supervisors to the origin site, as well as the destination site
- Each supervisor will be in charge of their own site, setting up move teams to accomplish specific tasks and leaving the lead project manager to analyze the flow of the move in its entirety
- Each move team is divided into 5 to 8-man crews (depending on the size and complexity of the project) supervised by a highly trained working foreman. All moving teams are comprised of full time employees who have undergone strict training and background checks
- All responsible personnel will be equipped with communication devices which will be used to handle unexpected problems
- Our labor will be placed in designated areas at the beginning of the move and will maintain their posts throughout the project. Therefore, there will be no time lost acquainting a man with a new job during secondary phases of the project. For example, the crew that packs the computers will be the same crew that unpacks them
