Labourer/Helper
The labourer/helper will be responsible of:
Manual Loading and unloading of household goods and office furniture
Disassemble and re-assemble of furniture, wrapping, padding and some packing of items may be required
Laying out of floor runners at residence
On site clean up at residences of packing debris and carton removal
Working with a partner to use dollies and straps to move very heavy items
Taking inventory of articles being moved noting existing defects or scratches
Breaking down of packing material, folding pads, and other general warehouse duties including sweeping
Shoveling snow may be required during the winter months
Must be able to work overtime as necessary to complete assignments
A class G license may be required to drive pack vans to transport crew members and materials to job sites
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Must be able to safely lift and carry weights of 10 to 50 lbs without assistance, and 50 to 100 lbs plus with a second man. Proper lifting techniques must be used at all times
Must be able to push and pull fully loaded dollies
Have the ability to kneel for extended periods, walk on uneven surfaces, climb ladders, safely exit trailers, trucks and other surfaces, lift arms above shoulder, do repetitive hand work, and have full use of both hands.
The ability to read instructions and complete paperwork accurately
Will also require working in both hot and cold environments transferring materials to vans and containers from customers residence
Minimum 5 years relocation experience All
